Privacy Policy for companies that register for the University's Placement services

Given that the legislation on the protection of personal data applies exclusively to data relating to natural persons, the university guarantees that the processing of personal data is done in compliance with current legislation and, pursuant to art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, informs you that:

Purposes, legal bases and storage of data provided:

  • The data provided are processed exclusively for the company's registration on the placement platform and to allow it to have access to the services offered by the university.
  • The provision of data marked with * is required for the purposes of the company's registration on the platform, which is why the failure to provide such data prevents the above registration and access to the services offered by the university.
  • In any case, the data are processed only as strictly necessary for the fulfilment of this service, pursuant to art. 6, 1st paragraph, lett. b) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
  • However, the provision of data not marked with * is optional and, while not necessary for the company's registration, allows the university to improve the service it offers.
  • The processing of such data takes place only if you provide your consent, pursuant to art. 6, 1st paragraph, lett. a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, which you can withdraw at any time without prejudice to the processing already carried out before withdrawal.
  • The data you provide are kept for as long as your company uses the services offered by the university.

Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data:

  • For the provision of the aforementioned services, the following parties or categories of parties may have access to the data you have provided: the AlmaLaurea Interuniversity Consortium, as independent data controller.

Rights of data subjects:

  • You can exercise the rights granted to you by current legislation on the protection of personal data, including the right to ask the data controller to access your personal data and to correct or erase them, restrict or object to processing of your data, in addition to the right of data portability within the limits of the provisions of art. 15-21 of Regulation 2016/679.
  • Pursuant to art. 77 of the Regulation, if you believe that the processing of your data violates the legislation on the protection of personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the control authority of the EU Member State in which you usually reside, work or the place where the alleged violation occurred.

TERMS OF USE

Premise
In accordance with law n. 183 of the 4th of November 2010 (“collegato lavoro”) and with law n. 111 of the 15th of July 2011 (art. 29), the University makes CVs of students and graduates of the last 12 months available on the website.

Article 1. The University provides users with the requested data, accessible via the Internet. By providing data through these modalities of consultation, the University does not guarantee the availability of graduates to accept job offers proposed by the employers.

Article 2. The University guarantees that the use of personal data in the CVs collected in the AlmaLaurea database is compliant with the current regulations in relation to personal data protection. Data are collected and processed with exclusively job placement purposes. The processing of personal data collected in the curriculum vitae is exclusively allowed within the EU Countries, unless explicit consent of the party concerned. Users who employ the AlmaLaurea database are responsible for every further act of data transfer to third countries or International Organizations, when this transfer occurs in default of the party concerned consent, namely of the condition of legality referred to in Articles from 45 to 49 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Moreover, users agree to proceed with the processing of personal data collected in the CVs, to the compliance with current legislation in the subject of personal data protection and, in particular, users agree to use the AlmaLaurea database exclusively for the purpose of personnel selection and job placement. Users may not permit third parties access to the AlmaLaurea database and it is not possible to communicate to third parties or spread data and information collected in the AlmaLaurea database.

Article 3. Users access the service free of charge and with their credentials. As for the release of the credentials, the University reserves the right to verify the reliability and truthfulness of the provided information, as well as their coherence with the service purposes.

Article 4. The University reserves the right not to publish discriminatory offers, not in line with the profiles of the programmes and faculties of the University. In case of discriminatory offers, the University reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend the users’ access to the services.

Article 5. The University reserves the right to carry out checks about the use of CVs by the users, by contacting students and graduates. If the employers use data for different purposes other than those established in this contract, the University reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend the users’ access to the services.

Article 6. Under no circumstances can users employ students and graduates’ CVs and the job and internship noticeboard for other purposes than the ones included in this contract, such as advertisement, promotion, or sale of courses, masters, training activities. If the employers use data for the above-mentioned purposes, the University reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend the users’ access to the services.

Article 7. If employers use the entire CV ceiling before its expiry date and want to reactivate a new ceiling, the University reserves the right to request the users’ feedback about the outcomes of the downloaded CVs.

Article 8. In all other cases in which users show an improper behavior when they use these services or when they interact with professionals, students and graduates of Università degli Studi di Milano, the University reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend the users’ access to the services.

Article 9. These contractual terms are accepted by the user by selecting the 'I accept the terms of the contract' option during the accreditation process.
